Get started on Wix

1. Open Papervela from your Wix dashboard and upload a PDF (Free: one PDF up to 10 MB; Pro: up to 50 PDFs, 25 MB each, within 1 GB including retained versions).
2. Add the Papervela PDF Viewer widget in your Wix editor.
3. Open the widget's Settings, choose a document or Smart Collection, and connect it. Confirm publication when connecting a private document.
4. Publish your Wix page.

Plans and access

Free has no time limit and includes one PDF, multiple displays, replacement, and a Papervela badge. Pro adds folders, tags, Smart Collections, bulk management, version history, restoration and analytics. The site owner can approve a document manager using Workspace settings. The manager must open Papervela from the same Wix site and redeem the one-use invitation within 24 hours. Access lasts 30 days and can be revoked immediately in Papervela. Managers can view private documents and manage the library, publication and Pro appearance settings, but cannot invite other managers. Wix editor access must be granted separately through Wix.

Update every display

In the document library, open a document and choose Replace PDF. Existing display links continue to reference the same document. On Pro, open version history and choose Restore to revert. Visible open viewers check for updates every 15 seconds. Existing Wix file URLs are not converted into Papervela links.

Smart Collections

Create a collection, choose its documents, and connect a widget to it. Future membership changes appear on the live collection without editing the Wix page. Only published documents appear publicly.

Viewer and search

Readers can navigate pages, zoom, use fullscreen and search PDFs with selectable text. Scanned images require OCR before their text can be searched. Set download and print controls for each display.

Appearance, languages and privacy

On Pro, Workspace settings lets you choose viewer background, text and accent colors, three built-in font families and corner rounding. Existing viewers and collections use these site-wide settings; PDF page contents are unchanged. Interface languages are English, Arabic and French, selected in the app. PDF contents are not translated and Wix site-language synchronization is not automatic. Private means accessible only to the owner and explicitly approved document managers, not a members-only portal. Hiding download or print controls is not copy protection. Fullscreen and printing depend on browser support.

Analytics

Pro reports browser-reported opens and download sessions by display or collection over 30 days. These are approximate activity counts, not verified unique visitors or reading-completion metrics.
